Rubedo’s sound-driven work with responsive particle fields is being shown at the ‘DigitalFUTURE’ in Shanghai. Selected pieces include the installation and performance 'Structure in Flux', as well as the sound-sculpture series 'Rythmique quantique'.
The exhibition explores the use of advanced computational techniques and robotic fabrication technologies in art and design. Featured practices include Greg Lynn Form, Zaha Hadid Architects, UN Studio, Kokkugia, SPAN, Biothing, Synthesis, Aranda/Lasch et al. Student work from leading universities including the AA, Harvard GSD, MIT, RMIT, UPenn and Columbia GSAPP is also being shown.
The two sections of the exhibition, "Scripting the Future' and 'Fabricating the Future', have been curated and designed as a collaboration between USC, Tongji University and SCUT.
