@earth is as revolutionary in form as it is in content. It is a story without words told in the universal language of photomontage, long the favoured medium of radical artists. For the past four decades Peter Kennard has consistently challenged power structures and injustice, from his anti-nuclear works of the 1980s to the powerful images he created in response to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.@earth is a photo-essay in seven chapters, combining new works, made together with Tarek Salhany, with iconic images from throughout Kennard's 40-year career.

Peter Kennard was born in London in 1949. He is senior tutor in photography at the Royal College of Art and his work is in many major collections, including Tate, the V&A and the Imperial War Museum. His work has been published in numerous publications including The Guardian, The Observer, Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, The Scotsman, New Statesman and Time Magazine.

CFYE (Revelry Show) @ Sugar Factory Amsterdam

Starting from the first of October, CFYE will host their exhibition 'CFYE at the Revelry' at Sugar Factory in Amsterdam.  The event will centere around Brazilian photographer Gui Christ and feature his work on Brazil's 3 kings festival (The Wise Men Revelry), a religious feast which includes customary dance, jester, folk an vocal acts that cover Brazil's cultural and communal diversity.  The exhibition will be accompanied by recordings from sound artist Andrey Ricardo da Silva, providing a complimentary and ambient soundtrack to the exhibition. Furthermore, street artists SjocoSjon(NL), Gais(BR) and Karski(NL) have contributed by illustrating their interpretations of the event on the walls of the sugar factory itself. During the first weekend of the exhibition there is a free mini fim festival centered around independent Brazilian film.  The opening will be on Oktober 1st, starting from 21:00! Music will be provided by the good people from Bomdiggy and the film festival will kick of with Favela on Blast! Entrance is free! JR - Women of Kibera Kenya

The latest project by JR can be seen in Kibera, Kenya, Africa’s largest slum. The French photographer decorated the rooftops with huge photographs of the Kiberian people. The photographs were printed on waterproof material, which will keep the houses dry in the rainy season. In total, JR covered 2000 square meters of rooftops, and also covered entire trains.

Total Rewall (Leake Street) Next Week Friday

The thirty-two TOTAL REWALL photographers will be posting up giant photographs on the walls of the famous Leake St Tunnel in South London. Each image represents the individual photographer's concept of walls and surfaces capital that are out-of-bounds to street artists, graffiti writers and creative types of every calibre. The photographs will become canvasses, and an open invitation is extended to everyone who feels they would like to contribute to the project by stencilling, spraying or drawing on them in a way that adds to or changes the original image. The images will go up on Friday 4th December, and be left there for one week only. The evolution of the images will be documented on a daily basis, being displayed on totalrewall.com, and eventually culminating in an online book which will be available to download or simply flick through, enabling everyone to discover what the imaginations of the contributing artists have delivered.

'Almost a year after the first test issue the second issue of Crack for Your Eyes Magazine is a fact. The CFYE brand and network has expanded during this year beyond our imagination, and we've only just begun. This issue (digital only) is put together by our good friend and respected designer Meneer de Zwart, who had the difficult task to narrow down the huge amount of submissions and contributions.

The magazine features a exquisite selection of work from street artists, photographers and musicians. We would like to thank all of you who helped realizing this issue, whether you did make the cut or didn't. It was very important for us to credit the artists correctly, so we made sure all of the URLs / links are clickable and will take you to the artist portfolio or interview on CFYE.com. Miami Graffi (Book) - JAMES and KARLA MURRAY

If Miami isn't a city normally associated with graffiti, this vibrant and exquisitely photographed collection of works will make readers think again. Over two hundred images reflect Miami's hugely diverse culture with their eye-popping colors, Art Deco flourishes, depictions of palm trees, beaches, marine life, and local iconic figures. Here, a surprising and dangerous underside to the area is also captured. Extensive coverage of abandoned buildings nicknamed Penits,A" de facto museums where entire crews practice their styles, and on-the-outs writers occasionally end up living, proves there is more to the city than South Beach's glitz and glam. JAMES and KARLA MURRAY are professional photographers and authors. Their books include Broken Windows, Burning New York and Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York. They live and work in Florida and New York, where their photos have been exhibited at the Brooklyn Historical Society and the New-York Historical Society
